Brayden Tyler Bigham of Colorado Springs passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his residence. He was just 15 years old.
Brayden was born on August 22, 2008, in Waco, TX. His smile was infectious, and he was guaranteed to leave a smile on the faces of all he met. Brayden was a funny, smart, kind, compassionate and strong-willed teenager. Many would say there was never a dull moment when he was around.
Brayden was a Sophomore at Sierra High School in Colorado Springs at the time of his passing. He enjoyed music of all genres, roller skating, fishing, video games, various sports, and was a lover of all snacks. No pantry was safe around him. In June 2022, he received his PADI Open Water Diver certification. He had plans to pursue underwater welding after high school.
He leaves behind his biological parents, Amanda (Holcomb) Means and Tommy Bigham, Jr.; stepparents, Matthew Winkelman and Elizabeth Nichols; his older brother, Bryson Bigham; sisters, Chloe Bernal, Emma Bigham, and Lia and Una Winkelman; grandmothers, Janet Bigham and Deanna Bigham; grandfather, Tommy Bigham, Sr.; great-grandmother, Wilma Holcomb; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brayden was also excited to meet his baby brother, Arlo Bigham, due to arrive in late October.
He is proceeded in death by his grandmother, Marvajo Hayden.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. A visitation hour will be held from 1:00-2:00PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00PM at OakCrest Funeral Home at 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco, Texas 76710.
