Bonnie Jean Lampert, 85, of Waco, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014, in a local hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Miller officiating. Private burial will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery.
Bonnie was born December 10, 1928 in Waco to Ernest Henry Steindam and Anna Katherine (Groening ) Steindam.
In 1951, Bonnie married Thomas Lee Lampert in Waco. He preceded her in death in 2011. The Lamperts were faithful lifetime members of Central Baptist Church.
Bonnie was a blessing to her brother-in-law, Ollie, especially following the death of his first wife when she helped care for his children. Bonnie was a friendly and gracious person who was dearly loved by her family and friends.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Ollie Lampert of Waco; a niece, Shirley Ann Rich and her daughter Kelly and her son Brandon and his wife Lauren; and two nephews, Stephen M. Lampert and wife Mary and their daughter, Alison, and Stuart Keith Lampert and wife, Charabe and their daughter Sophie and son Ethan. She is also survived by a great-great nephew Jonah Rich, and great-great niece, Margot Rich.
The family appreciates the care given to Bonnie by Ollie and the staff of Royal Manor Health Center.
