He was united in marriage to Lori (Cox) Renfro, the love of his life, who preceded him in death in 2022. Together they built a home in Chilton, Texas, and shared a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, he and his best friend formed a band and performed at numerous venues, even competing in Battle of the Bands events throughout Europe. After receiving an honorable discharge, he made his home in Missouri, where he continued pursuing his love of music alongside that same lifelong friend. Together, they traveled throughout Missouri, sharing their talents and bringing joy to many through their performances.
Eventually, he returned to Texas, where he met Lori and began the next chapter of his life. He worked as a pipe fitter for most of his adult life, traveling throughout the world and building a reputation for his hard work and dedication.
A man of deep and unwavering faith, he and Lori devoted themselves to prison ministry. He often shared the Gospel through music, playing his guitar and ministering to those in need of hope and encouragement. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he lived his life and treated others.
He had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Some of his happiest moments were spent on the water fishing with his sons, grandsons, and his brother-in-law, Chuck. He cherished time with family and leaves behind countless memories, stories, songs, and lessons that will be treasured for generations.
He is survived by his son, Kenny (Ella) Renfro of Bunceton, Missouri; Steven Workman of Chilton, Texas; Louis Workman of Chilton, Texas; Crissy Workman of Chilton, Texas; and Amber (Jeremy) Bradford of Hubbard, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Billie Renfro; his beloved wife, Lori Renfro; his brothers, Ray Renfro and Lance Renfro; and his sister, Linda.
His legacy of faith, music, service, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
