William Texas Reid, Jr.
May 27, 1955 – January 25, 2014

William ”Bill” Reid, 58, of Waco, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery.

Bill was born May 27, 1955 in Waco to William and Mildred Reid. Bill graduated from Richfield High School in 1973. During his journey, he was a manager at Greyhound Bus Lines and ended his careers at Ridgewood Country Club. Bill had many interests such as his Mustangs, muscle cars, music, Texas Rangers baseball, and he loved making people smile and laugh. He had three loves in his life, his daughter, Kristi (Rabbit), his mother, and his weenie dog, Fritz. Bill cherished the time spent with his brother, Gary, who was always doing things for Bill. Bill left behind several wonderful best friends that he loved very much: John Patrick, Lee Ann Priebe, Calvin Anderson and Mike Imon. We would like to offer special thanks to the many care takers and medical professionals that help him through his medical journey.

He was preceded in death by his father, William T. Reid Sr.

Survivors include daughter, Kristi Reid of Spring; his mother, Mildred Reid of Waco; his brother, Gary Reid and wife, Carolyn of Waco; and his sister, Linda Reid of Harker Heights. Others surviving are many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

Pallbearers will be Gary Reid, James Reid, Jason Featherston, John Patrick, Calvin Anderson and Todd Caven.
