Beverly Keven Lively

Beverly Keven Lively passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Keven was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend. She was fiercely protective of those she loved and always ready with steadfast support and encouragement.

Born with a heart for nurturing and a passion for education, Keven spent her entire career as a beloved teacher in Southern California before retiring to Waco, Texas, to be close to her children and grandchildren. She touched countless lives throughout her life. Her students remembered her not just for the lessons she taught, but for the compassion she gave so freely and belief in each child’s ability to succeed. She was an encourager by nature, always offering a kind word, a listening ear, or funny story to bring peace. Her quick wit and infectious smile could brighten any room.

Keven has been welcomed into eternity by her brother, Gary Spry. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Michael Lively, and her two children and their spouses: Shannon and Mark Pozsgai and Sean Lively and Brian Brooks. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Jonah, Esther, Eden, and Naomi Pozsgai, and Teegan and Brody Lively.

She is also survived by her siblings and in-laws: Jamie and Nolia Spry, Billy Spry, Keitt Spry, sister in-law Betty Spry, David and Bobbi Lively, and Travis and Tammy Lively

A memorial service celebrating Keven’s life will be held on October 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. All who knew her or who love and support her family are welcome to attend. It was Keven’s desire, instead of a formal funeral service, to have friends and family gather to share their favorite memories and stories to honor her and remember her life that was so beautifully lived.

Though Keven will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in every heart she touched. Her unique fingerprint is forever imprinted on the hearts of all that knew her. Her laugh, her loyalty, and her boundless love will remain with us forever.
