It is with heavy hearts that we announce our mother, Beatrice Liendo, was called home Friday, August 28, 2026 to be with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and our father, John Liendo.
Beatrice was born in Asa, Texas on April 22, 1927 and saw many things in her lifetime of 99 years. She was the daughter of John R. Garcia and Lucia Briceño Garcia; one of the eldest of nine children.
Beatrice had the ability to make things memorable from her incredible sewing skills to her delicious cooking and prized tamales. She loved her church, her husband and children, and her large family and friends. She loved dancing with her husband and always made time for her creative arts and crafts to perfection.
She was a loyal member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana de Jornaleros in Waco.
She is survived by her two sons, John Liendo (Jacque) of Bertrum and Bobby Liendo (LuAnn Borth) of Riesel; her daughter, Liz Holder (Stan) of Mt. Calm; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her two sisters, Virginia Fuentes of Bedford and Gloria Molina of Dallas; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Garcia, Jr. and sisters, Ninfa Almeida, Lydia De La Rosa, Lucy Olivarez, Eva Fuentes, and Dora Tobias.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3rd from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Waco with the rosary recited at 1:30 pm. Mass will start at 2:00 pm with the burial following at Waco Memorial Park in Robinson.
