Apryl Jean Irwin, 45, of Hewitt, passed away on July 15, 2025, at her home. Services will be at 2pm on August 9, 2025, at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Apryl was born April 11, 1980, in Waco to Lesa Irwin and Daniel Irwin. She graduated from Connally High School in 1998. Her first job was at Manitou North America, and she stayed there until graduation. After graduation, she traveled to several locations, spending time in New York and France where she used her artistic skills. She finally settled back home and graduated from MCC, specializing in Paramedicine. She took care of many people throughout Waco and the surrounding cities from their beginnings to their endings. She eventually decided to hone her craftsmanship and switched to Woodworking and Leather work. She started her own business, AJ’s Cleaning Company, where she always left a fresh, clean sense about the place like no other.
She met her wife, Amanda Lloyd, in 2005 and they were married on February 2, 2007. They shared a life in Hewitt with their daughter, Kyra, and lots of fur babies.
Apryl never met a stranger or animal that she didn’t have an impact on. She always had a helping hand for anyone that needed it and even for those that didn’t. She was truly an amazing, gifted and loving soul with many talents. There was never a job or task too small or too big that she couldn’t accomplish. She loved traveling, camping, and fishing and spending precious moments with her fur babies, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her Papaw, Trent Moore.
Survivors include her wife, Amanda Lloyd and their daughter, Kyra; mother, Lesa Irwin and father, Daniel Irwin; fur babies, Charlee, PeeWee and Khloe; Mamaw, Dorothy Moore; grandchildren, Waylon, Melodie, Athena, and Cameron; uncle and godfather, Eddie Moore and wife, Danielle; cousin, Danette Wade and husband, Curt and their two children, Kyla and Cooper; and godmother, Cindy Dutch and husband, Ricky.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ronnie Wiese, Richard and Christine Duell, and their daughter, Rebecca, the AMR Waco family and Waco Hyundai for all their love and support.
