Amanda Longoria

Amanda Longoria de Santacruz, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on October 21, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 am Friday October 25th at St. Francis Church 613 N 3rd St, Waco TX 76701. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm and Rosary will start at 7 pm Thursday October 24th at Oak Crest Funeral home 4520 Bosque Boulevard Waco, TX 76710.

Amanda was born in La Luz, Rio Grande, Zacatecas on February 5, 1948 to Alvino Longoria and Juana Fernandez. Amanda’s greatest passion was cooking, it was in the kitchen where she showed her love and affection to all her family and friends. She was able to work doing something that she loved at El Charro cafe for over 40 years as a cook until she retired.

She was proceeded in death by her father Alvino , mother Juana, son Raul, husband Joaquin and brothers David, Apolonio “Polo” and Ambrocio.

She is survived by her 5 children Juan Santacruz and wife Evangelina, Carolina Ibarra, Carolina Santacruz, Olivia Santacruz and David Santacruz and wife Karina and niece Elizabeth Dominguez and husband Mike. She is also survived by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


The family is deeply grateful for all the love and support and prayers during this difficult time.
