Allen D. Polonsky, Sr.

Allen Don Polonsky, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 10, 2026 surrounded by his family. Allen was born to Issie and Ida Polonsky on October 10, 1933.

Allen graduated from University High School, 4-C Business College, and some classes while in the Navy. He joined the US Navy in 1951 and was discharged in 1955.

He worked many years for Duprey Oxygen and Oak Farms Dairy, then transitioned to supervisor at Acto International. After retirement he worked part-time at Duncan Buick and Richard Karr. Allen enjoyed spending his free time at the deer lease hunting and fishing with is good friend, Gary Martin.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doyle Ray; first wife, Doris Jean; and second wife, Jeanette Lawrence.

Survivors include his daughter, Carol Ancelet; son, Allen Jr.; daughter, Rhonda Davis and husband Eddie; sister, Burma Frisco; sister, Sherry Byars and husband Bruce; nephew, Bruce Wayne Byars; grandchildren, Alexis Johnson and fiancé Alex, Aaron Johnson and fiancé Christina, Abbigale Ida Davis, and Carrie Mount and husband Jimmy; great grandchildren, Jasen (Esira), Aryssa (Isaac), Jesseana, Ayden, Paytin, Ariel, and Hunter; step-great grandchildren, Jaydin, Jr, and Tyler; as well as his adopted granddaughter, Adriana and son, Oliver. Allen was also expecting his first great great granddaughter Elora.

The family would like to extend their grateful gratitude to Dr. Anna Vanderheiden for her kind and loving care she gave to our dad, they loved her so much. A special thanks to the Ascension Providence nurses in 4 North and the ICU.

Anyone who has come in contact with Allen would say he was the sweetest and kindest man they ever knew.

Pallbearers are Eddie Davis, Jimmy Mount, Jasen Cruz, Ayden Casarez, Aaron Johnson, Isaac Rivera, Alex Perez, and Brayden Mount.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the joy he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Following the graveside service everyone is welcome to gather at Primrose Baptist Church: 2619 Primrose Dr. Waco, Texas 76706
