Obituary for Silverio H. Amaro

Silverio Herrera Amaro, 85, of Waco, Texas passed away Thursday May 27, 2021. Graveside memorial services will be at 10:00 am Monday, June 14, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery, with Deacon Tony Arocha officiating.

Silverio was born June 20, 1935 in Waco, Texas to Wenseslao (Ben) and Concepcio (Herrera) Amaro, and attended Waco Schools. Silverio was a partner at H. E. B. Food Stores for over thirty years, retiring in the early 1990’s. Silverio married Herlinda Puente in August of 1969. He was a good son, brother, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member of St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic church, and La Asociacion del Santo Numbre. His ever present smile and willingness to help his customers made good selections of produce, made him a favorite partner in the produce department.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Adelena Amaro Bravo, great grandson Kendred Braddy; sister, Maria Carrizales, and brothers; Endalicio Amaro and Rosalio Amaro.

Silverio is survived by his wife, Herlinda, daughter, Renee Amaro Sandoval; granddaughters, Marcena Hulsey Gonzales, Francesca Hulsey, and Gabrielle Husley; grandsonsMichael Brandon Becerra and Angel Bravo, Jr.; brothers, Juan (Johnny) Amaro, and Louis Amaro. Thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
