She was born January 11, 1925, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Hugh and Mildred McNally. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Shirley married Fred Turner Jr. February 9, 1945, and had two sons Dale and Mike.

Shirley started working at Providence Hospital in the Laboratory in 1953. She helped move the laboratory from the original site to three different locations during her career. One of Shirley's proudest moments was receiving the "Employee of the Year" award. After 39 years she retired and became an Auxiliary volunteer contributing more years of service.

She was a loving mom and wonderful grandmother. Her grandchildren, Jason and Wendy were her special joy and she was their special "Granby." Jason lives in Waco, Wendy lives on Lake Conroe with her husband Jim and their two sons, John and Tom.

Shirley will always be remembered by her beautiful smile, she was very social, she never met a stranger. She enjoyed her friends and had no trouble making new ones. Her friends, Bea, Celesta, and Neva were dear to her and always kept in touch.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years; son, Mike Turner; parents; brother, William "Bill" McNally, and sister, Margaret Borsellino.

She is survived by her son, Dale Turner and wife Shiryl; Mike's wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Jason Turner, Wendy Reynolds and husband Jim; two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, "Sweetie".

The family wishes to thank David McCauley for looking after Shirley while living at Providence Village.
