She loved to travel with her sons as they grew up, her and Ronnie could often be found at the beach, her favorite place to be. She often traveled with friends and family.

Sherry will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Ronnie McNiel; her loving son, Spencer McNiel and his partner, Tonya Kitts and their children Mallory, Mackenzie and Jensen; her mother, Doris Davis; her brothers, David Merkel and his wife, Alexia Merkel, Ricky Merkel and his wife, Robin Merkel, Larry Merkel and his wife, Norma Merkel; her sister, Becky Hornsby and her husband, Thomas Hornsby; her brother Donald Merkel and his wife, Eva Merkel; her brother, Charles Davis and his partner Milly Hart; her sister, Roxie Goldsmith and her husband, Steve Goldsmith and sister, Julia Merkel; as well as her steadfast companion dog, Ryder.
