Obituary for Rosemary Kenney Moore Williams

Rosemary Kenney Moore Williams of Waco was born January 28, 1922, in Cairo, IL., the daughter of Allen and Gertrude Bolstad Moore and passed away April 15, 2022. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 305 N. 30th in Waco. Rosemary grew up in Cairo, IL., graduating from Cairo High School in 1940. She met the love of her life John Hazel Williams in Cairo, and they were married on October 1, 1943, in Marfa, Texas where John Hazel was attending pilot training. After his discharge from the Army, John Hazel and Rosemary moved their family to Waco where he managed the Swift and Company Cottonseed Oil Mill. Rosemary was a retired postal employee who enjoyed the company of family and friends. She especially enjoyed bridge night with her close friends.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, John Hazel; her parents, Allen and Gertrude; her brother, Paul Moore; and son-in-law, Jack Womack.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Susan Womack, James Williams, Michael Williams, and his wife, Debbie, all of Waco; seven grandchildren, Justin Womack and wife, Joby of Detroit MI, Amanda Rose Womack of San Francisco, CA, Melanie Jackson of New York, NY, Kati Rose Prevost and husband, Steven of Robinson, TX, Whitney Barnett and husband, Patrick of Lorena, TX, and Zackery Files and wife, Jessica of China Spring, TX. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Echo, Lexi, Lawson, Jesse, J.T., Cora Jane and Camilla June.

Rosemary was a vital and active member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church for over 60 years.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hewitt Nursing and Rehabilitation and Providence Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Memorial Fund of St. Alban’s church in Waco.
