Obituary for Robert John Bravo
Robert John Bravo, 72, of Waco, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2021. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Oakwood Cemetery by Pastor Ronnie Holmes.
Robert was born in Waco and worked for 30 years for Young Brothers. He was known by his CB handle, “Waco Kid”. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Bravo; grandparents; uncle, Abel Hernandez; and sister-in-law, Janie Bravo.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rosa L. Bravo; father, Joe Bravo Sr.; his siblings, Margie Pike (James), Elvira Bravo, Mineria Chavez (Abel), Teresa Bravo, Joe Bravo Jr. (Frances), Ruben Bravo, and Rudy Bravo, Sr. (Delia).
He also leaves his children, Melissa Martinez (David) and grandsons, David Jr. and Joshua; Rosa Linda Bravo (Jason Jacinto) and grandsons Alexander and Nicholas; Regina Bravo and granddaughter Abigail and Kierra and grandsons, Jakob and Isaiah and great-granddaughter, Lilith; Corina Blanco (Pedro) and Gilbert, Andrew, and Wyatt; Albert Martinez Jr. and grandson, Albert Martinez 3rd, and Monica Mejia, and granddaughter Claudia and grandson Jose Jr.; and Roberta Bravo Arriaga (Antonio) and Antonio Jr. and Adahlia.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Bravo, Jr., Patrick Mayes, Michael Bravo, and Edwardo Bravo. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Martinez Jr., Antonio Arriaga Sr., Jose Mejia Jr., and Antonio Arriaga, Jr.
