Richard Ferry passed away on May 10th, 2022, five days after he celebrated his 69th birthday. He had been comforted by his beloved family (in person: Sister Dot, Daughter Jamie, Son Daniel, and online East Coast family, Brother Johnny, Sister-in-law, Joanne, and their family) and cherished friends in person (Shawn Hilton, and resident friends and Care staff at Waco Healthcare and Rehabilitation where he was a Resident, and Hospice Nurses and Care Staff at Baylor Scott and White Hospice visiting him and easing his experience in the days up to and the day before his passing, and had his beloved son, Daniel there overnight and morning of his passing.

Ricky had his issues like every other human, tough and tender at moments, stubborn and opinionated with a booming, thunderous voice and a yell that let you know he was there. He was a dedicated and hardworking Baker at RJR Nabisco in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 44 years. When creatively engaged he was very talented with his hands and had exceptional woodworking artistry. He enjoyed eating delicious food and loved and was lucky at gambling in the casinos--a favorite place of his! He accepted and loved people as they were and was quite the charmer and flirt, who was affectionately called Blue Eyes by his friends, for his beautiful piercing blue eyes that he knew how to work.
He enjoyed being silly and making people laugh and laughing with people, and he valued his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the charity of your choice in loving memory of Richard P. Ferry.
