She loved to have breakfast, lunch, and or dinner with family and friends, and loved drives in the countryside. At the apartment complex, where she and her sister Nena lived, Mary was known as the Queen Bee of Dominoes, a game she loved to play. Her other pastime after retirement, was watching the old western movies. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her four-legged nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death, by her parents; sister, Ophelia Ochoa; brothers, Bentura Quinones , Andres Quinones, Sabas Quinones and Saloman Quinones; special niece, Sophia and special nephew Sugar Ray Quinones.
