Obituary for Mario Olvera, Jr.

Mario Olvera, Jr, 38, of Waco, Texas was born September 6, 1984, to Mario S. Olvera, Sr., and Josefina Iruegas Olvera. Mario passed on September 30, 2022.

His visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, with Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, October 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mario was loved by everyone. He was the life of the party! He worked hard in painting and remodeling. Mario would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He loved to fish and barbeque on the weekends. He was the biggest fan of the Washington Redskins Football Team. He spent all his free time with his nieces, nephews, daughter, and family.

Mario was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Joe and Gloria Olvera; godfather, Joe Rito Olvera; and tias, Maria A. Aguilar and Irene Olvera.

Mario was survived by his parents, Mario S. Olvera, Sr., and Josefina Olvera; grandparents, Crescencio and Maria A. Iruegas; godmother, Christine Olvera; sisters, Becky Olvera and Gloria Olvera; daughter, Cristiana J. Olvera; girlfriend, Jennifer Nolte; step-son, Alfredo Fernandez; nieces and nephews, Hope Olvera, Josie Olvera, Larry, Syrus, Symon, Shelsea, Angelina, Jose Trey, Paul Olvera, Mario Jesus Olvera, and Rebekah Faith Olvera; tias, Ana Iruegas and Norma Iruegas; tio, Juan Iruegas, Sr., Crescencio Iruegas, Joe Ireguas, Josie DeLosSantos, Chilo Olvera, Gene Olvera, Paul Olvera, Angie Perez, and Gloria Tanner; and many family and friends.
