Janie was the best mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, that anybody could ever ask for. She loved going to play the slot machines when she was able to or go to the flea market. Janie welcomed everyone in with open arms, including our family and friends. When Janie was able to cook, she cooked very good, and the best was her famous tortilla’s that she made after school. Everyone called her “momma Locke on the block,” everyone was like her own kids, she made sure they ate.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Sabino and Rosa Perez; late husband, Earl Leonard Locke; son, Ray Leonard Locke; daughter, Brenda Locke-Lerma; sisters, Nancy Medina, Virginia Marquez; and brothers, Robert Perez, and Johnny Perez.
