Jesusa "Susie" G. Quintanilla entered the gates of Heaven and gained her wings on April 21, 2022, at the age of 72.

Susie was born on December 25, 1949, in Waco, Texas. Susie married the love of her life, Danny G. Quintanilla Jr. on August 19, 1968.

She had one daughter, Gina Marie, whom she cherished. In addition to being a dedicated, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Susie, also loved cooking, and was known for her famous tortillas. She loved walking, dancing and being with family. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God. Which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Susie joins her husband, Danny; father, Edward Garcia, Sr.; mother, who raised her Eulojia Garcia; in-laws, Dan, and Josephine Quintanilla; and her brothers-in-law, Benny G., and David Quintanilla; she also joins her uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Gina Marie and husband, Ricardo Guerra, Sr.; her grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Ricky, and Danny; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Noah, Nessly and Sophia; she is also survived by her loving brothers, Edward Garcia, Jr. (Ninfa), Peter Garcia (Olga); and her loving sisters, Gloria Martinez, and Grace Castilleja (Don); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Susie was a strong believer in family, faith, and love. Family meant everything to her, and she exemplified it by making sure she was always at all family functions many times traveling hundreds of miles to be with family. She never hesitated to show her love for her family by caring for them when they were ill. She would use her food as nourishment to feed their soul. Her catholic faith was unwavering to the very end.

She enjoyed her family, but most importantly being present for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Today, We ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend or loved one and remember time waits for no one.
