Gregory M. Regalado, 40, passed away on Monday, July 13. He lived his full life in Waco, Texas. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Monday, July 20, at 6:00 pm at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Ave, Waco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, at 10:00 am, also at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Greg was born on October 6, 1979, in Waco, Texas to Richard and Rita Regalado. He grew in wisdom before the Lord while attending school at St. Mary's, Reicher and graduating from Waco High School. He studied music at McLennan Community College (Associates Degree) and continued musical studies at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Greg had a deep passion for music his entire life. From the age of two he regaled his family by singing his favorite songs, including How Great Thou Art. His voice matured into a rich baritone that filled sacred and secular spaces with his devotion to singing. Friends, family, and even strangers praised the beauty of his voice. He loved spending time with his cherished nieces and nephews, delighting in their company. He traveled extensively with his parents and family, visiting all lower 48 states, Canada and Italy.

Greg leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure in their hearts memories of his love, kindness, and sense of humor. He is survived by his caring parents, Richard and Rita, of Waco. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Rose Marie (Martin) Escalona and Richard (Catherine) Regalado. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Maile, Noah, Joshua, and Christian Escalona and Sarah, Anne, and Matthew Regalado.

I am saddened to learn of Greg's passing. He was a sweet soul, with a very kind heart and a light in his eyes. He always made working at Drug Emporium pleasant. Prayers for his family as they mourn.

How well I remember Greg when I taught music at St. Mary's School. He had a warm spirit, a delightful personality, and a natural talent for music. Please know how much I care. Richard, Rita, Rose, and Richard Jr., you are all in my prayers.

I remember teaching Greg at St. Mary's many years ago. He was always gentle and respectful. In recent years I would see him at Drug Emporium where he worked. I am so sorry for your loss of your son & brother. I know this creates a hole in your hearts & your lives. I will be praying for all of you as you go through the days ahead.
