Obituary for Freddie Bone

Fred Bone, age 75 of Waco passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. A chapel service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Roger and Chad West officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at OakCrest Funeral Home.

He was born in McGregor, Texas on January 6, 1947 to L. B. and Myrtle Hannah (Heath) Bone. He attended and graduated McGregor High School in 1966. After school he joined the United States Navy and served his country until September of 1970. Fred retired from Certain Teed on December 31, 2010. He was an endowed Masonic Lodge member of John Armstrong No. 291, Valley Mills, TX. He was also a faithful member of Trinity Fellowship Church and a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

Fred was preceded in death by his father, L. B. Bone, and mother, Myrtle Hannah; 4 brothers, Billy Joe, Kenneth, Glenn Dale, Jerry Don; and sister, Betty Murdoch.

Survivors include his son, Freddie Dan “Danny” Bone and wife, Sarah; sister, Shirley Owen and husband, Billy; grandson, Kaleb Bone; granddaughter, Anna Bone; 2 sisters-in-law, Linda Bone and Gail Bone; brother-in-law, Gale Murdoch; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Reeves, Albert Brumfield, Ryan Tart, Wesley Bottoms, Donald Ray Bottoms, J.R. Tart and Tony Murdoch.
