Obituary for Francisco DeLeon Diaz

Francisco "Frank" DeLeon Diaz, 66, of Waco, Texas passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 6 - 8 pm at La Sangre Del Cordero. Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday, January 6, 2022 with Pastor Jaime Zuniga officiating at La Sangre Del Cordero, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Frank was born February 15, 1955, in Eddy, Texas to Senobio Diaz and Leonor (DeLeon) Diaz. After attending Bruceville-Eddy High School, he entered the workforce and excelled at any job he held. He was saved, born again, and baptized at Family Worship Center in Waco where he served for several years. He also served and dedicated much of his time at La Sangre Del Cordero. Some of his greatest joys in life were fishing, crafting, writing, spending time with his family, and leading people to Christ. With an infectious smile, warm heart, and creative mind, he helped everyone around him to feel loved and joyous, even complete strangers. One of Frank's favorite scriptures for providing comfort to the brokenhearted was “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you". 1 Peter 5:7

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pete Diaz, Domingo Diaz, Steve Diaz, Tomas Diaz, Sr., and Eli Day; sisters, Michaela Camero and Regina Day.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ginger; his children Michael Diaz, Anitra Palacios and husband, Shane, Joseph Diaz and wife, Angela, Joshua Diaz and wife, Ashley, Alayna Diaz, Daniel Diaz and wife, Kathryn, and Hailey Diaz; his brothers Jimmy and wife, Martha, Manuel and wife, Juana, and David and wife, Mary; and sisters, Rosa Zuniga and husband, Jaime, Mary Sandoval, and Josefina Garcia; plus several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are David Diaz Sr., Jimmy Diaz, Manuel Diaz, Michael Diaz, Joseph Diaz, Joshua Diaz, Daniel Diaz, and David Diaz II.
