Esteban (Steve) De Leon Diaz

October 18, 1961 - October 24, 2020

Our beloved Esteban (Steve) De Leon Diaz, 59, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Funeral services are at 11 am Friday, October 30, 2020 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Deacon Wallace Garcia officiating, burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Steve was born in Durango, Texas on October 18, 1961 to Senobio and Leonor (De Leon) Diaz. He was a man that had a love for music, and has entertained his community for 30 plus years. He has met many people in his precious 59 years on this earth. Steve was a man who loved his family and would give a helping hand to anyone. He has helped so many people in so many ways. He had the biggest heart and was a fighter. One thing he taught us all was to fight and never give up. Steve has put many smiles on many faces over the years and touched many hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Pete Diaz, Domingo Diaz, Eli Day, Tomas Day, Sr., sisters; Micaela Camero, and Regina Day; nephews, Guadalupe Diaz and Gabriel Diaz.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Emma, sons; Conrad Diaz, Sr., Danny Diaz, Esteban Diaz II, daughters; Monica Ramirez, April Diaz, Stephanie Diaz, Denise Diaz, and Amanda Diaz. He was a proud grandfather of 29 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are: Esteban Diaz II, Danny Diaz, Conrad Diaz, Jr., David Diaz, Jr., Jaime Zuniga, Jr., Fernando Ramirez, Joshua Gutierrez, Jr., James Haigood III, and Edgar Garcia.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And He who was seated on the throne said, Behold, I make all things New”
