Delores (Lola) Bernal of Waco was born on February 25, 1946 in Hill County to Bernando Bernal Sr. and Henrietta Sanchez Bernal and passed away on December 14, 2019, at the age of 73.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday December 18 at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, TX 76710. Graveside service and burial is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S. 5th St., Waco, TX 76710.
Lola lived in the Hillsboro, Waco and Cleburne TX area. She attended school in Hillsboro and in later years worked the farm lands in Hillsboro. While living in Waco she attended Calvary Church.
Lola never married or had any children. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, dancing and shopping. She especially loved spending time with children and family members. She gave 100% in everything she did.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents Bernando Bernal Sr. and Henrietta Sanchez Bernal of Waco TX and sisters Irene Ramos of Waco TX and Valentine Moralez of Cleburne TX, brothers Nicholas (Nick) Bernal and Bernando (Ben) Bernal Jr. also of Cleburne TX. She is survived by two sisters Sally Jimenez and Linda Garcia of Waco TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her beautiful laugh and generous heart will me missed. She was the closest thing to an Angel on Earth.
