Many of his proudest accomplishments are linked to this work in helping the community of Waco’s boys grow up to become trustworthy men. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family. After retirement he took up gourmet cooking and home gardening. He had great fun with his grandchildren becoming known as “Pépe” as is his French family's tradition.
Daniel was preceded in death by his brother Donald Coulon and sister Rita Coulon Lincavage. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-one years Cheri Fields Coulon; son David Coulon and wife Brianna; son Michael Coulon and wife Regan Thompson; son Stephen Coulon and wife Heather; grandchildren Clayton Coulon, Raina Woodard, Henry Coulon, and Frances Coulon; nieces and nephews Gretchen Lincavage, Teri Conn, Robert Lincavage, Dan Lincavage, and Kevin Bready, as well as many more extended family members and close friends.
