Obituary for Chester E. Doughty Jr.
Chester E. Doughty, Jr. passed away Thursday September 3, 2020 at Baylor Scott and
White Hospital in Waco after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by family. Grave side
services will be Thursday September 10, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pendleton Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to the grave side services.
Chester was born September 5, 1951 to Chester and Dorothy Doughty in Temple, Texas.
He attended Waco schools and graduated from LaVega High School and Texas A & M
University, Kingsville.
Chester’s greatest joy in life was being with his kids and grandkids at the lake fishing and
camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law.
He is survived by his son Chester (Chet) E. Doughty, III and wife Danielle, two
daughters Kerby Doughty and Elyse Dutschmann and husband Ryan; one granddaughter and
four grandsons; two sisters Sandra Morris and husband Joel and Gloria Daves; and many nieces
and nephews and extended family.
