Obituary for Celia Ocampo
Celia Salgado Ocampo, 77, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 surrounded by her family in Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, January 28, 2021 at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Rev. Anibal Gonzalez officiating, burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, Texas. A visitation for family and friends was held on Tuesday, January 27, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ocampo was born October 22, 1943 in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, to Teodosio Ocampo and Celsa Salgado. Celia was educated in Acapulco and moved to Waco, Texas. She raised her family in Waco, Texas and was a very good mother to her children. She worked in the WISD system in the cafeteria at several schools and was the delight to many children. Her greatest enjoyment was to see her children prosper and excel in their lives.
Mrs. Ocampo was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Jesus Antonio Juarez, and Cesar Nava.
Celia is survived by daughters, Aurora Nava, Mireida Nava, Olga Nava, Rudy Nava, Oneyda Nava, and Alemania Juarez; brother, Esequiel Nava; as well as many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers are David Santibañez, Jorge Santibañez, Ricky Chavez, Emilio Chavez, Arturo Anaya, Jr., and Alexis Gallegos.
