Obituary for Celia Chavez
Celia Chavez, 71, of Waco, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Celia was born February 17, 1951, to Trinidad and Georgia (Flores) Chavez in Roswell, New Mexico.
Celia was a good daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, and a very good friend to all she met. She had nine sisters and three brothers. She worked hard to help provide for her family. Celia was known as a “Jack of all Trades” and a very good cook. She married Ruben Marmolejo, from Lubbock, Texas
.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Rudy Marmolejo; five sisters; and two brothers; and son-in-law, Henry Pesina.
Celia is survived by husband, Ruben; daughter, Ida Pesina; son, Daniel Marmolejo; sisters, Helen Chavez, Anna Ruiz, Cecilia Chavez, and Rosa Delgado; brother, Gerald Chavez; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
