Obituary for Albert Hernandez Jr.

Albert Hernandez, Jr., AJ (aka: Apple Jacks), was born in Waco, Tx on March 18, 1990. His personality was bigger than life. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He brought sunshine to everyone, even on their darkest days. He never met a stranger; he was loved by everyone. He was an amazing son; although we had some difficulty, like most children do with their parents, he always made us very proud…always. He was an honorable brother to all his siblings. He always stood by their side no matter what, even when they may have not always been right. He would always say, “don’t worry, I got you!” He was dependable because he always showed up. You could always count on him. He had his struggles like everyone else; yet he managed to defeat them and come out a winner. He had recently started working with his father as his apprentice in his paint and body shop. He picked up this skill like it was second nature. He had a gift for this and a passion for his work and looked at each car as a work of art just waiting to be turned into his own personal masterpiece and come alive. Working side by side, under his father’s tutelage, hoping to one day to be as successful as him and eventually take over his father’s business...carrying on the Hernandez legacy. In his zest for life his greatest accomplishment was fatherhood. He lived for his children and adored each one.

AJ is survived by his grandparents, Dan and Helen Spurlin; parents, Albert and Becky Hernandez, Sr., and Shelly and Eli Tanguma. His siblings, Brittany Hernandez, Savannah Kaylea Hernandez, Richard Guadalupe Tanguma, Danny and Sarah Henry-Tanguma, and Sarah Elizabeth Tanguma. His fiancée, Rhiannon Hill; his children, Sarah Nicole Gonzalez (baby girl), Andreas Josiah Hernandez (li’l man), Aiden Phuong-Ngoc, and Skylar Duc Tran; and stepchildren, Braeleigh and John Hill, Jr.
