Obituary for Barbara Adell Horne (Watson)

Barbara Adell Horne, 77, of Waco, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 17 at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating.
Barbara was born July 22, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Buford and Myrtice (Masters) Watson and raised in Waco. She attended local schools and worked at several businesses in the area, including Finger Furniture, National Transport & Revolutionary with her brother, and also for many years at Holiday Inn and other hotel/motel chains as a desk clerk, hostess, waitress and housekeeping manager.
Barbara enjoyed organizing special holiday events for the residents at the apartment complex she lived in. She was very crafty and loved making beautiful Christmas bows and floral arrangements. She was so talented that she could actually construct a Halloween costume with nothing but a glue gun and some Velcro!
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Duane L. Horne, Jr.; grandson, Cody L. Sparks; and brother, Buford Clinton Watson Jr.
Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Angela Sparks and husband, Floyd; granddaughters, Melinda Ardoin and husband, Sean and Candice Wheeler and husband, Brent; great grandchildren, Shelby Felder, Noah, Haley and Abby Wheeler and Ashley Sosa; aunt, Doris Masters Truitt; nieces, Sonia Young and Terry Watson; nephews, Douglas Watson, Roger Watson and Ronnie Watson; and numerous cousins.
