February 11, 1936 - June 3, 2016

Joyce Marie Tynes, 80, of Waco, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 in Waco. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Father Cyril officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West. The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 6, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Joyce was born on February 11, 1936 in Woodsboro, Texas to Georgia Ann Nemecek and Fred Frank Cocek, Sr.

She graduated from Bishop High School and attended Providence School of Nursing and graduated from MCC where she became a Registered Nurse. She worked for the VA Hospital in Waco for 29 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead, and the Catholic Daughters.

Joyce married Dalton E. Tynes on Feb. 11, 1955. He preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Dalton Mitchell Tynes and great granddaughter, Cate McCafferty.

Joyce is survived by her best buddy Pancho, daughters, Dalene London and husband, Carl, Ann Goldsmith and husband, Mike; sons, William “Joey” Tynes, Phillip Tynes and wife, Tracy, Blake Tynes and Autsuko; as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family thanks the staff of Providence Hospice Place for their exceptional care.
