Obituary for Miguel "Mickey" Mejia

Miguel “Mickey” Mejia, 82, of Waco, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2015. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday, July 14 at 10 am at St. Francis Catholic Church, 301 Jefferson Ave., with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The rosary will be recited on Monday, July 13 at 6 pm with visitation to follow until 8 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mickey was born October 10, 1932 in Waco to parents Jesus and Manuela Mejia. He was a graduate of Baylor University Hankamer School of Business and was retired from the General Services Administration. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Pete Mejia, Jesse Mejia and Antonio Mejia.

He is survived by his sisters, Juanita Mejia Rangel of Waco, Matilda Mejia of Waco and Josephine Mejia Dean of San Ramon, California, as well as a brother, Frank Mejia of Waco.

Pallbearers will be Andy Mejia, Pete C. Mejia, Jesse Lopez, Margarito Compian, Larry Dean and Jon Dean.
