Almost 33 years experience helping
families with their pre-need planning. She was with Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home for over 20 years before joining the OakCrest Funeral Home staff three years ago.

Chaplain Curtis Holland
Family Chaplain and Pre-Need Counselor

For over three decades, Chaplain Curtis Holland has been helping countless Waco families cope with the loss of a loved one, 27 of those years as Director of Pastoral Counseling at Hillcrest Hospital.

He is widely known and respected as "Waco's pastor", and OakCrest Funeral Home is proud to have him on our staff now. Curtis serves as our Family Chaplain and a licensed Pre-Need Counselor.

James Fine
Funeral Director / Embalmer

A licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1985, James Fine joined the OakCrest staff in June, 2008.

Originally from San Antonio where he completed high school, he received his professional training from the San Antonio College Mortuary Science Program. He has many years of experience with funeral homes in San Antonio, Kingsville, Livingston, and Hillsboro.

James and his wife, Becky, a registered nurse, have two children, Laurel and Allen, and are members of the Hillsboro Church of Christ. James has a passion for classic Cadillacs and enjoys singing, often leading the music at church gatherings.

At OakCrest, James meets with families, directs funerals, leads singing, and serves as our Safety Officer.

Tammy Mattiza
Funeral Director / Embalmer

Tammy Mattiza was the first employee hired when OakCrest Funeral Home opened in 2001 and her caring personality and love of people has played an important role in our quick success. She is our after-hours night supervisor.

Our files are full of thank you letters to Tammy for her extraordinary care and concern that she shares with every family.

She displays a bright, friendly smile to everyone, and always wants to make sure that every family is served the way they want to be -- and then some.

She is a graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, and is licensed funeral director and embalmer. She and her husband Chris live in Coryell City with their two children, Kaylee and Tyler. We are proud to have her on our staff.

Bill has worked in the funeral service field for over 30 years, most of those here in Waco. He was associated with Connally/Compton Funeral Home and Pecan Grove Funeral Home before joining our staff six years ago. You will find Bill's helpfulness and experience very beneficial.
