Monty Lee  Moses
Monty Lee Moses, 68, of Waco passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Monty’s Life will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, March 8 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Monty was born August 17, 1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents Leonard and Betty Moses. He was a graduate of University High School and worked as a self employed contractor. Monty served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed being outside, camping and fishing. He adored his family and loved being with them and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Monty will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Monty Moses II; and his brother, Ronnie Moses.

Monty leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Karen Harwell Moses; daughter, Michele DeLao and husband, Lupe; grandchildren, Aaron Moses, Isabella DeLao, and Courtney DeLao; brother, Don Moses; and sister, Becky Carroway and husband, Dewayne.

Monty’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Texas Oncology and to the nurses at Providence Hospice for the outstanding care provided.
