Valarie and Azariah Martinez

Valarie Martinez, age 24, and her precious daughter, Azariah Rosa-Lee Martinez, age 1, passed away together.

Joint services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. A vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at the TP&L Lake at Park #3.
Valarie was born December 29, 1992 in Waco. She attended Connally High School and was working at Sanderson Farms. She was a wonderful loving mother, daughter, and friend to everyone, and will be greatly missed.

Her daughter Azariah was born October 21, 2016 in Waco. She was a precious, sweet baby who always had a beautiful smile.

Survivors include mother, Luz Martinez; grandmother, Rosa Farias; brother, Israel; sisters, Vanessa, Stephanie, and Anna; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends along with her extended family which includes her adopted mother, Teresa Fikes, and her friend of 18 years, Jessica Krupicka.
