Michael “Mike” Lee Loftin, 76, of China Spring, Texas passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Don Howard officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be 6 to 8 pm Monday, September 18, at the funeral home.
Mr. Loftin was born December 12, 1940 in Bakersfield, California to Lloyd and Edith (Roggee) Loftin. He graduated from high school and served his country in the U. S. Air Force. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force he worked at the V. A. Hospital for five and half years as a nursing assistant, and then drove a truck for many years, then began working at the U S Postal Service and retired after 18 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, wood working and camping.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Alvis Loftin and Gary Ray Loftin, loving companion Pam Cassidy, and great granddaughter Haley Harding.
He is survived by his trusted companion Bosque, children; Sandra Kruger and husband Robert of Waco, Texas, Michael Loftin, Jr. of Lewisville, Texas, Rhonda Machac of China Spring, Texas, Teresa Loftin and Jammie Holder of China Spring, Texas, and Jerry Loftin and wife Lisa also, of China Spring, Texas; siblings, Lynn Loftin of Oklahoma, Frank Loftin of Waco, Tim and Vicky Loftin of Chain Spring, Debbie Curry and Jim of Elm Mott and Rick and Jodi Loftin of Oklahoma : 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Jeremy Atkins, Jason Atkins, Darrel Sullivan, Dustin Loftin, Matthew Machac, Jebediah Loftin, Jonathan Loftin, Devin Loftin and Gunnar Loftin.
