Obituary for Domingo Ruiz

Domingo Ruiz, 88, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Benjamin Magnaye officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Domingo was born January 20, 1929 in Robinson, TX to Adolfo and Teresa Ruiz. He retired from General Tire after 20 years and also worked for Caritas of Waco for 12 years. Domingo married Pauline Hurtado on January 28, 1955 and enjoyed a loving marriage of 60 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was also a lifetime member of the Waco Missions. Domingo enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and western movies.

Domingo was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Pauline; sisters, Luz, Sally, and Susie; brothers, Raymond and Vidal; great grandson, Brian Alexander Reyes; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Ruiz.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Robert and wife, Yolanda, Johnny and wife, Cynthia, Lawrence “Larry” and wife, Christine, and Mark; grandchildren, John Michael and wife, Shana, Shenequa Druppel and husband, Shane, Felicia Fuller and husband, Jered, Phillip Jay, Teresa Reyes and husband, Rudy, Christopher and wife, Amanda, and Suzanna; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and his brothers, Joe Ruiz and Tony Ruiz.

Pallbearers will be John Michael Ruiz, Phillip Jay Ruiz, Chris Ruiz, Jose Rios, Danny Castillo, and James Tussey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jered T. Fuller, II, Mikey Ruiz, and Jordan R. Fuller.
