Obituary for Milton "Jack" Hinson

Milton “Jack” Hinson, 89, of Rosenberg, Texas, formerly of Mart, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, June 23, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June, 27, 2017 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, June 26, at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mr. Hinson was born April 18, 1928 in Mart, Texas to Calvin and Esther (Sydow) Hinson. He joined the U. S. Navy at age 17 and served for 20 years in the submarine fleet. After his military service, he worked for the Texas Department of Corrections and the sheriff department of Fort Bend County. Mr. Hinson began his own business building jails and prisons. He retired and returned to Mart, Texas to be a rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ann M. Hinson, and brother, Jake Hinson.

Mr. Hinson is survived by his son, Wayne; daughters, Dee and husband Curtis, and Judy and husband Rodney; grandchildren; Chase and wife Carrie, and Michelle and husband Alfred; and great grandchildren; Corbin, Jebediah and Wyatt; and adopted daughter, Sheila Matheny; brothers, James Hinson and wife Therese and Donald Hinson and wife Anita and many other family and friends.
