Obituary for Richard "Ricky" Vasquez

Richard "Ricky" Vasquez, 54, of Dallas, formerly of Waco, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 in a Dallas Hospital. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Benjamin Magnaye officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary service starting at 6:30 p.m.

Ricky was born August 21, 1962 in Waco. He was a family man with a heart of gold. Ricky said his nieces and nephews were his kids. He was always smiling and loved to BBQ. Ricky was employed at Romar Supply, Inc. for 30 years.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Seferino Vasquez; nephew, Jesus Lopez; and many other loved ones.

He is survived by his mother, Eva M. DeLeon; sisters, Rose Marie Rojas and Rita Vasquez; step-brother, Frank Gregory DeLeon; nieces and nephews, Micaela Rojas, Raymond Lopez V, Ramon Rojas, Jr., Raquel Perales, Celina Rojas, Jessica Lopez, Anthony Rojas, Elizabeth DeLeon, and Frankie DeLeon; and seven great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Juarez, Chris Palacios, Andre Villarrial, Mando Villafana, Frank Gregory DeLeon, Juan Perales, Ezra Estrada, Joe Vicot Martinez, and Roman Rodriguez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Lopez V, Ramon Rojas, Jr., Anthony Rojas, and Little Ray.
