Faye was born on April 17, 1921 to James Thomas and Menzie Elizabeth (Armstrong) Curb in Lampasas County. On February 25, 1937, Faye married the love of her life, Arvin F Conner in San Saba, Texas. While raising two sons, Faye and Arvin owned and operated Conner Construction Co., specializing in residential construction and A.F. Conner and Sons, Inc., specializing in utility construction.

The focus of Faye’s life for over fifty-five years was her husband Arvin, whom she nursed for over thirty years as he battled Parkinson’s.

Faye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and faithful member of Lake Shore Drive Church of Christ. Faye loved to cook, fish, garden and can vegetables that she grew from her own garden. One of Faye’s greatest disappointment was when she could no longer make her Thanksgiving dressing.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Clifton Earl; sisters, Otherine Nixon and Nadine Gill and two infant grandsons.

Faye is survived by her sons, Aubrey and wife Janice; Dean and wife Bernita; grandchildren, Clifton and wife Debbie, Byron and wife Pam, Clint and wife Kristi and Chris and wife Mandy; great-grandchildren, Karen Roberts and husband Ben, Caleb, Joshua, Ethan, Edie, Josie and Eamon; and chosen family, Sue Eberhardt, Tommy Blackburn and Dr. Clint Chambers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Society; Lake Shore Drive Church of Christ or a charity of your choice.
