Daniel  Devorsky
Daniel Devorsky, 91, of Waco, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 26, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery, with Rev. Carl Freeto, officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2017 at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mr. Devorsky was born April 9, 1926, in McLennan County, Texas to Emil and Cecilia (Bartosh) Devorsky and grew up in Bellmead, Texas. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 during World War II, serving in the South Pacific Theater. He married Peggy Jo Jayroe on October 22, 1949. Danny was a good son, husband, father and grandfather. Danny went to work at Goodwin Sheet Metal Works, where he retired as co-owner after 51 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and his ’31 Ford hot rod, that he owned since 1954.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and younger brothers, William “Billy” Devorsky and Bobby Devorsky.

Danny is survived by his loving wife Peggy Devorsky of Waco, Texas, one son, Ron Devorsky and wife Suzie, and grandson, Ryan Devorsky all of Crawford, Texas and sister-in-law, Edna Lathern Devorsky of Bellmead, Texas.
