Obituary for Joyce Marie Coffee

Joyce Marie Clem Coffee, 81, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at OakCrest.

Joyce was born October 31 1935 in Denver, Col. to Wiesman Clem and to Marshall Adrian Clem. Joyce was the youngest of 13 children. She married Rev. Lloyd D Coffee Sr. in 1952. They met when he was in the Air Force. The two were married for 57 years. Joyce often said, " I felt I was in the military too.”
Her husband became a Baptist Minister after the military. She was a constant servant of the Lord. Her life‘s mission was to spread the word of the Lord to everyone she met.

Joyce had a calm and gentle demeanor. Everyone she came in contact with always said she was the sweetest Christian they knew.

She was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters; husband, Rev. Lloyd D. Coffee Sr.; son, Lloyd D Coffee Jr.; daughter, Brenda Coffee Harwell, and grandson Clinton Wiley Kennon.

She is survived by daughter, Debbie Coffee Kennon of Waco; her grandchildren, Nancy Coffey and husband Robert, Christopher Worthen and wife Jenna of Florida, Karl Kennon of Waco, Cody Kennon and wife Amanda of Lorena, Justin Coffee and wife Amanda of Waco; son-in-law, James Harwell of Waco; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice and Mission Waco.
