Georgia Ruiz  Reyna
Georgia Ruiz Reyna, 82, of Waco passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 with loving family members by her bedside. The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, at OakCrest Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 16, at the funeral home, with Deacon Jesse C. Garza officiating.

Mrs. Reyna was born on May 25, 1934, in McLennan County, to Augustine and Socorro (Almendarez) Ruiz. She was educated in the Waco Public School system and later married the love of her life, Juan Perez Reyna. Mrs. Reyna was a stay at home mother. She shared her love by nurturing and guiding her children. Georgia’s heartbeat was her Catholic faith and every child she raised brought a sunshine smile to her face.

Mrs. Reyna was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband; daughter, Mary Helen Trevino; and son, Ramon Reyna.

She is survived by children, Joe Reyna of Arlington, Phillip and Rita Reyna, Steve Reyna, Ines Reyna, and Manuel Reyna, all of Waco, Socorro Varela and Richard Cornell of New York, Felipa and Jorge Deanda, Anita and Harry Carbajal, Dionisio and Lorin Reyna, all of Waco; sister, Manuela L. Gongora; and brother, Jesus Ruiz; 34 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
