Obituary for Anna Marie Muhl

Anna M. Muhl passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at home surrounded by family. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Waco. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at OakCrest Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Anna was born May 14, 1920, in Waco, Texas, to Jim and Augusta Gooch. She married J.I. Muhl, Sr., on January 20, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.I. Muhl, Sr., and one daughter, Julie Ann Muhl.

She loved her faith and her family. When able, she loved to fish and garden. She also enjoyed making quilts for family and friends.

She is survived by three sons, J.I. Muhl, Jr., and wife; Shelby, of Prairie Hill; James A. Muhl,
and wife, Pat, of Waco; Michael J. Muhl, and wife, Diana, of McGregor; one daughter, Anna M. Dyer, and husband, Randy, of Lorena; one sister, Jeanette Green, of Austin; grandchildren, J.I. Muhl, Ill, Rika Muhl, Juli Salinas, Andrew Muhl, Nicholas Muhl, Matthew Muhl, James A. Muhl, Jr., and Patrick Muhl; five great grandchildren, Harrison Muhl, Joshua Salinas, Shelby Salinas, Luke Muhl, and Madelyn Muhl; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are J.I. Muhl,III, Nicholas Muhl, James A. Muhl, Jr, Patrick Muhl, Joshua Salinas, Ernest Muenzenberger, and honorary pallbearer, Jim Swenke.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Jerome Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
