Condolence: Even though I only knew her through my many trips to the West Waco Public Library, I saved Christi's obituary notice and have it on top of my monthly Bank deposit slips. Once every month - when I file my slip - I still see her smiling face! I am blessed to have met her! -Keith Bass-

Condolence: Christy was a wonderful person. Until now, I didn't realize she was born on Christmas Day. She embodied the Christmas Spirit all year long. She radiated with happiness, love, caring, etc. for everyone. She was always happy and shared all of herself with friends, colleagues, etc. She will be greatly missed by all.

Condolence: I met Christy at the West Waco library branch where I go to check out books for my 91-year old Mom. It was always such a pleasure to see her. She had one of the greatest sense of humors I have ever known! At the library, I noticed that she had a name badge around her neck. But not just "any" name badge. It had the picture of Angelina Jolie on it with the name "Angelina"! It was so funny!!! One time (not far from Christmas) I was leaving the library and told her "You and Brad (Pitt) have a wonderful Christmas". I turned and as I was walking towards the door I heard this voice that said: "But....what about the children"? (I had forgotten to mention them). Ha-ha-ha! So very funny...I had not laughed so hard in a very long time, and the memory right now as I type this makes me smile and laugh! It was my privilege and honor to know her! May God comfort all that knew and loved her!

Condolence: Christine was always very sweet to me. Over the years I have grown to love her. She would always stop and ask about my family when she came to Eqdepot, and when me and my grandson would she her at the library. She cried with me at the loss of my son. I will miss her very much. E.G. and Joey you have my deepest condolences.

Condolence: It was a strange feeling last night as I entered the funeral home to pay my respects to Marvajo Hayden, knowing that Christie was there, too. Two from the Connally Class of '73 at the same time in the same place. The class of '73 was a strange time, we were at the tail end of a bloody war, but the hippy/free love generation was pretty much over and done with. It was a time when young men had to make a conscious decision about signing up for the draft or going to Canada to hide. With all this going on, plus cars, plus other distractions, plus raging teenage hormones, I'll always remember Christie as an island of calm. I can't think of any person she ever had a problem with. I can't think of a single time that she was angry about anything. She always had a kind word for everyone, regardless of social status or background. Excellent Behavior!

Condolence: I only worked with Christy for a couple of months but I found her to be the sweetest most pleasant person, always smiling even through her pain. May the good Lord wrap his arms around her family in this time of great sorrow and know that Christy will still be smiling and loving you from the great hereafter. The library is a much sadder place without her smile. God Bless!
