Obituary for Kari Lynn Baker

Kari Lynn Baker
August 13, 1974 – April 8, 2006

Kari Lynn Baker, 31, of Hewitt, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006 at her residence.

A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, with Dr. Steve Sadler officiating.

A private graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery will precede the memorial service. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the OakCrest Funeral Home.

Kari was born August 13, 1974 in Salt Lake City to James and Linda (Dodson) Dulin. She married Matt Baker in 1994 in Waco. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Lorena.

Kari graduated from Waco Christian High School in 1993. She graduated from Baylor University and received her Masters Degree from Dallas Baptist University. Kari was a teacher at Spring Valley Elementary and also was an adjunct instructor for Tarleton State University.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kassidy.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Matt Baker of Hewitt; two daughters, Kensi and Grace Baker; her parents, Jim and Linda Dulin of Waco; brother, Adam Dulin of Huntsville; grandparents, James and Mary Sue Dodson of Waco; great grandmother, Hester Hutchinson of Waco; aunts and uncles, Chris and Nancy Lanham of Waco, Kay and Keith Bailey of Waco, Jennifer and Steve Biles of Lutz, Fla., Teddy Dodson of Thailand, Whitt and Betsy Lamson of Corpus Christi, and Suzie Ragle of Refugio, and her mother- and father –in-law, Oscar and Barbara Baker of Kerrville.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
